Kiln Ice Glazes are a stunning glaze series inspired by the timeless beauty of Guan Ware, a revered ceramic tradition from the Southern Song dynasty. These glazes capture the signature crackle effect, offering a rich, dynamic surface that enhances both form and texture, especially with brown or buff clays. These glazes work best with AMACO Chocolate Clays that are manganese free. Please try it on your (european) available clays. For a chocolate colored bisque, you can use engobes underneath.
